Tim Yanke, Park West Gallery

TITLE: “Happy”

ARTIST: Tim Yanke

DATE: 2009

WHY WE CHOSE IT: American abstract artist Tim Yanke was born on this day in 1962. Yanke’s work combines his fascination with southwestern and popular culture in a unique miasma of color and movement that can just as easily resolve to a weathered cow skull as a popular band icon.
